MTV VMA Awards 2010

For starters I would have loved to see AFI on the VMAs. They totally deserve it. I did hear they made it to the VMAs in 2006 with DECEMBERUNDERGROUND though. Anyways, for all of you who didn't get a chance to see the VMAs, here's a quick summary of what went down:

Lady Gaga > Justin Beiber:
Holy shit! Gaga took home '8' VMA Awards!!!! Video of the Year (Bad Romance), Best Pop Video (Bad Romance), Best Female Video (Bad Romance), Best Collaboration (Telephone feat. Beyonce), Best Dance Video (Bad Romance), Best Choreography (Bad Romance), Best Direction (Bad Romance), and Best Editing (Bad Romance). I love Gaga, she's got to be the most creative person in the world! I love her insane outfits, well...except for her meat dress. Sorry, Gaga. Meat's not my thing. But hey, she did better than Beiber, which she kindly helped find the stage so he could recieve the award for Best New Artist of the Year. I dislike Justin Beiber. Sorry if you like him, but I like music from older, more mature people. Like Jared Leto! Speaking of Leto...

30 Seconds To Mars:
After making a stunning appearance on bikes, they won the award for Best Rock Group. I'm so proud of them. :)

Taylor Swift: "Mama! Kanye was mean to me last year so I wrote a song about him!"
I found Taylor's performance uninteresting. She is just whining about something a douchebag rapper did to her LAST YEAR. Let it go, girl. I didn't get to see Kanye's performace but I heard he also sang about her...(?)

Paramore:
Hayley Williams entered the stage first to sing the single 'Airplanes' with B.o.B. (Whose pants were sagging so low, I thought they were gonna drop dead to the floor! Jeez, buy a belt, boy!). After, she made her way to the other side of the stage where she joined the rest of Paramore and sang 'The Only Exception', their latest hit single. I am a fan of Paramore, and Hayley's epic hair. I enjoyed their performance, I loved the lightbulbs hanging from the ceiling. As for 'Airplanes', eh, okay song. I don't like it that much. I don't find rap/hip-hop an enjoyable genre. So I'd have to be neutral on the performance of that song.

That's really just the number one topics of what happened on the VMAs (sorry if this blog post was so late, I had it saved as a draft in my email but my mom has been quite the comuter hog since she got her Droid X...). Speaking of phones, when she got her Droid, my sister got my Samsung Impression and I got the iPhone. My mom did throw it at the floor once when she got made and fucked it up a bit but it's going to the shop tomorrow to be fixed. I'm very pleased with it. Blogging will be oober easier now.
